The Evening and the Morning, Part II was created as a companion to Part I as part of my earlier Songs of Creation collection.

Soft pinks, lavenders, blues and touches of light move through the heavily textured landscape, capturing that place where one part of the day gives way to another.

This painting also carries a story that has made it particularly difficult for me to change.

I painted much of this collection at my grandma's dining room table while she sat with me, watched me work and shared stories from her life. She knew my tendency to keep working on a painting long after she thought I should stop.

This was the other painting she left a note beside.

Don't touch it. It's finished.

So I didn't.

These remaining works from Songs of Creation are being offered for a short time at a rare studio price before I decide whether the ones that remain will return to my easel and take on a new voice.
