Inspired by the creation story in Genesis, He Gathered the Waters was created as part of my earlier Songs of Creation collection.

Layers of texture, deep earth tones, turquoise water and light come together in a landscape filled with movement...water gathering, falling and finding its way through the rocks.

This painting also carries with it memories of the season in which it was created. Much of Songs of Creation began on my grandma's dining room table, where I would paint for hours while she watched, told me stories about her life, and occasionally told me when it was time to put the brush down.

Only a few paintings from that collection remain.

For a short time, I'm offering them in their original form as part of To Be… or Not to Be: A Rare Studio Offering.

Those that find homes will remain exactly as they were created during that season. Those that remain may eventually return to my easel and be given a new voice.
